Psyquel Security Policy

PSYQUEL STATEMENT ON SECURITY TECHNOLOGY

All activity conducted in our Members area is performed on our secure server. In secure mode, your computer and our server communicate by sending data back and forth in an encrypted format. The encryption algorithm is exceptionally powerful and ensures the security of your data as it is transmitted to our server.

When your web browser is connected to our secure web site (the Members area), it will display a URL address beginning with "https://" rather than the standard "http://". The "s" stands for "secure". If you are using Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher, look for the padlock in the lower left corner of your browser window: the padlock will be open when you are in standard (unsecured) mode and closed when you are in secure mode. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, you will see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser window when the browser is in secure mode.

PSYQUEL STATEMENT ON PRIVACY

What is Psyquel's policy on privacy?
Your privacy is a very sensitive subject for us, and we take it very seriously. Our privacy policy is simple: Psyquel will not sell, barter, give away, or rent your personally identifiable or financial information to any entity outside of Psyquel. The only exceptions to this policy are situations where we are required to release information by law or are directed to do so by a court.

What is Psyquel's view on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)?
Psyquel is very supportive of the pending legislation proposed by HIPAA. We are closely monitoring the progress of HIPAA regulations and carefully scrutinizing the final rules as they are released. Psyquel is committed to meeting all regulations mandated by HIPAA well before the compliance deadlines that HIPAA has/will impose on the health care industry.
